DOES MY CHILD NEED TO AUDITION TO HAVE LESSONS?
The MDK Academy prides itself on its ability to train and mould anyone into a strong triple threat performer. Children are not required to audition prior to their first lessons, they only need to demonstrate passion and willingness to learn. However, at the age of 13, all pupils are given the opportunity to audition for our 'company' team - the MDK Elite - where they have the opportunity to perform in international competitions.
WHAT CLASSES DO YOU OFFER AT THE MDK ACADEMY?
It is a well known fact the the training delivered by the MDK is next to none. We offer a wide range of dance classes ranging from Classical Ballet to Commerical, as well as offering numerous group and individual singing and acting classes. More information about the classes we offer can be found in the 'timetable' section of the website.
AT WHAT AGE CAN MY CHILD START LESSONS?
We offer classes for 'Broadway Babies', where infants aged 3-5 can begin basic dance training and to explore their creativity and how dance can create happiness. 'Broadway Babies' is a fun way in instilling basic technique at a young age, which will set the infants up strongly for their dance journey.
"MY CHILD IS 9, BUT HAS NEVER DANCED BEFORE. CAN THEY STILL JOIN?"
Of course! The MDK Academy will endeavour to provide your child with the training and technique they need. However if the MDK Academy feels as though a child is better of suited in a lower or higher abilitty classm the Adacemy will reallocate the child's class to their descretion?
